TO CLUB AND DISTRICT LEADERSHIP
It's time
to start the process of getting candidates for the Rotary Against Drugs speech
contest for 2012. I'm attaching three documents:
- a
memo to club presidents (and anyone else involved in the contest) introducing
the contest and giving details of the 2012 district and multi-district contests.
- a
monthly schedule for clubs telling when information is due and contests will
be held.
- a
suggested handout for you to give to schools that you would like to interest
in sending participants to be considered for the district contest.
Please
let me know who in your club should be getting follow up information and reminders
about the contest. If your club doesn't have someone responsible for the speech
contest, I'll send follow ups to the club president.
Please let me know
if you have any questions. The contest is a great way to give some kids valuable
speech giving experience and to give a wider audience of kids a peer view of the
dangers of substance abuse.
