THE ROTARY FOUNDATION & DISTRICT 7690

The mission of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty. Since its creation in 1917, The Rotary Foundation has grown into a global force for good, thanks to the generosity of Rotarians and friends of Rotary who share our vision for a better world. Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary's main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

THE ROTARY FOUNDATION - FUTURE VISION PILOT (FVP) PROGRAM
District 7690 leads the way . . .
District 7690 has been invited to join 100 pilot districts in the Rotary Foundation's 'Future Vision.' This is a 3-year program during which the rules, procedures and practices of The Rotary Foundations will undergo a major revision. Because rules, procedures and practices will be evolving during this period of time it is important that you coordinate closely with the District Rotary Foundation Chair before you become too involved with project planning for your Rotary club.

Rotary District 7690
The Rotary Foundation Future Vision Scholarship Application Process

Contact a Rotary Club - Fill out two applications - (I understand that there is no deadline . . . and if there is no deadline, what is the time line that the candidate can expect?)

Obtain the endorsement of a Rotary Club (does this imply that the club should interview first? And is the endorsement in the form of a letter from the club president?)

The forms will be forwarded to the District Rotary Founation Scholarship Committee

Interviews will be held by the District Rotary Foundation Scholarship Committee.
